Pr. Livingston Zechariah was born as the fourth son of Pr. C. Zechariah and Mrs. Aliyamma Zechariah in Perundurai near Erode, Tamil Nadu. Hailing from Kerala, Pr. C. Zechariah came to Erode for ministry and did so for 43 years. During his time, he was one the foremost person to spread the word and gospel of our mighty Lord in the interior parts of Erode.
Their family was abundantly blessed and anointed in the spirit and faith of god. Their richness in spirituality led his childhood to be filled and overshadowed by the mercy and blessing of God. He was baptized by water at the age of 17 and was anointed in the Holy Spirit when he turned 21. To ensure a bright future he not only completed his M.A. but also did Air ticketing and Travel Management courses. He was sure that he would be able to make a financially sound and stable life in this secular world but didn’t realize that God had some better plans for him. God called him to do his ministry by giving him a verse from Philippians 2:13 “For it is God who works in you both to will and to act according to his good purpose.” But he was not convinced with it and submitted himself at the feet of God. He had a vision and heard the voice of God say “Feed my sheep”.
This made his plan very clear leaving no more doubt behind and he decided to go the way God has chosen for him and prepared himself to do God’s work. He finished his bible course in the year 2000. He wedded Bincy and both of them set out to the remote villages of Dharmapuri District to spread the word of god to “Feed his sheep” as God had commanded him to. They did ministry for a period of four years in Harur, Rayakottai and Bagalur in Dharmapuri District.
He was overshadowed by a strong calling and feeling that God wanted him to go north and win many more hearts and souls for our Lord Jesus Christ. The feeling was so strong that it was almost like a burden and he felt weighed down by it. He paid heed to the call of God and came to minister in Mumbai in the year 2004. John 14:6 was the verse that guided him which says “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the father, but by me” and thus he named his ministry “The Living way Ministries”. That time, he primarily aimed at bringing people who were traveling in the path of sin and death to the living way of our God Jesus Christ.
He then decided that the gospel and word of God should reach everyone in all places, to people who have never heard the name of our Lord, His words and His works and also those who have heard about our Savior but still have not accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Presently he is doing his ministry in Bhandup, Mumbai with his wife Bincy and two children Asher and Ashbel and has brought together a young but steadily growing congregation.
